The name Nyx is a play on the English word nix, meaning to end and is normally used as slang meaning to end someone's life.

Nyx was accepted into the clan as an adult. She grew up in a Light Clan until she was forced to leave. While she was wandering she met up with a small family of Nomadic Farmer dragons. Nyx spent her entire childhood with them and developed a country accent (that she softens). After a rather... Problematic situation with her adopted brother Sam Hill, Nyx fled the family and was eventually found by Mongul.
She fit right into the clan as an outspoken mother figure. She holds a prominent figure in clan life as the first Hunter, the second in command, and the leader of the hunters.

Nyx is a brash and confident drakess. She can be very loud, energetic, and perky. Some dragons would find this annoying, but she has some redeeming qualities. Nyx does her best to be polite to everyone she meets. She says that everyone deserves her respect until they decide to take her friendly demeanor for granted. Behind her attitude and sassy responses, she has a clever brain and a quick wit that helps her on hunting patrols and in battle. Nyx loves hatchlings and dragons younger than her, and has a desire on her heart to protect every single one of them.
Nyx is an incurable flirt. It's not how you would think though. Nyx has sociopathic tendencies and she loves to play hard to get if anyone shows interest. If the dragon can endure her insults and manage to impress her, she would begin being kind to him.

All in all, Nyx is a big part of clan life, no matter how odd she is.
