Therein lives a dragon who appears only in the middle of the night, where it feels as if the hotel has become another setting entirely - lightbulbs stutter, swaying without cause as shadows merge into each other, seamless in their transition. It is as if the hotel has gained a pulsing heartbeat of its own.

It is here that Lynx appears without a sound, his familiar alongside him blinking slowly with its many eyes. They do not prowl the halls, but instead stroll through with an ease that speaks volumes of their confidence; the time before the sun breaks through the windows is an especially unnerving affair due to the consistent nature of the hotel’s more concerning residents: agitating, disquieting and unspeakable ruthless upon protecting whatever secrets had landed them here. Lynx contains this violence to a manageable scale.
Due to the fact the hotel is a haven for dubious individuals, it is a necessity that any given manager possesses both the spine and the fight to back it up; Lynx is often beating up a resident’s enemy pursuer or disbanding scuffles among the hotel night crowd. It is not beyond him to fetch another pillow for a particularly fussy dragon while droplets of blood soak into his fur.

Upon morning, the dragon and his familiar slip back into the shadows to rest for the coming of yet another night.
