Biography
The Creator.
"Finally.", he muttered to himself. "Finally, this one will be the good one, I can feel it in my bones."
In his lap, a decorated urn. Next to his chair, a jar of caramel cookies (those are his favorite).
For a few days, he observed in silence. And it was good; the "younglings" as he called them started bonding with each other, helping each other in and around the little huts they made after a heavy downpour the other day; he wondered if they'll discover music soon. Just to make sure their lives wouldn't become boring, he purposely let a few cookie crumbs fall into the urn; the younglings believed it to be a new kind of precipitation and it made him chuckle. He gave them a few days of peace afterwards.
But next time he mused about taking a quick look just after a good beard-stroking session, he realized the little settlement was abandoned. The huts were empty and one or two were even destroyed; there were no signs of life but there were also no signs of a struggle or fighting. It was like they simply left.
Confused, he looked around, tilting the urn left and right and in one moment, even turning it upside-down, as if he expected the younglings will start falling out... But to no avail.
In the end, frustrated and confused, he shook it violently, cursing something under his breath; and it seemed to go so well this ti-
Wait! What's this?! An eye?! His heart jumped up in his chest. It is an eye! Perhaps it's one of them! Except... this eye was brown... They never had brown eyes, he specifically asked for blue and green ones. And there was a bright yellow slit in the middle of it, like a yellow pupil in the middle of a brown iris. Whoever owned that strange eye, they stared straight at him like a pigeon at a city cam!
Not one to back off easily, he stared right back with his own eye, not bothered by the possibility of something popping out and poking him straight in! The two blinked once, twice, and the other eye was gone! But there was a screech, a sound he heard once before, although it's been a while... No, it can't be...
His hands started to shudder; drops of sweat formed just below his receeding hairline; no... It cannot... He couldn't have made such a mist-
It whizzed past, now as small as a ladybug, with spines poking down it's back and firm, leathery wings flapping about. It screeched happily summoned others like it, like cartoon characters appearing from the invisible side of a screen.
He cursed and cursed and almost broke the urn as they gathered, more and more of them, and happily flew in circles, some even landing where the settlement used to be.
Of course! When creating this world, he forgot to uncheck the "spawn" button for those blasted dragons!
