Patera's Detective
Born and raised in the Starfall Islands, Brasil had a sheltered childhood with her younger brothers, but while Courage was always up to mischief, she was always with her nose in a book or a telescope.
Despite that she was always fit thanks to her mother, that has always been more strict and make sure to drill both of them in many - sometimes arduous - life lessons, be it how to hunt, how to battle and many other skills that as an adult they were very thankful to know, depite the hellish training sometimes they would be subjected to.
Her father on he other hand was a very warm Obelisk that doted and even spoiled a bit his first children, despite that he taught them how to cook almost as well as him, another thing that she never tought would be a useful skill until she needed to cook for herself.
When she lived with her parents (and was still an Obelisk), she used to help her mother with hunting and her father with the restaurant, sometimes traveling with her youngest brother, Fierce to deliver his packages when he had to go somewhere far away. She used to struggle tough, since young with finding a calling in life, she loved many things, but none enough to think "that's it" and for many years she wondered if she ever would find her true calling.

One night, while traveling alone to one of the nearby clans to visit a friend she went to sleep below the canopies of the Starwood Strand as an Obelisk and woke up as a Banescale with colors so wildly different that she barely recognized herself.

She was so stunned at first that she simply went back home and slept for almost a week without getting out of her room, when she did she scared her parents almost to death, to the point her mother almost attacked her (only avoiding it because she recognized her daughter's voice).
On the first few months Brasil tried with all her might find out how or even why she turned into a Banescale, but nothing she did brought any results and strangely she became extremely resistant to magic related to change, so no matter what she does, she simply can't go back to being an Obelisk.
Despite zero clues, she's determined to find out what happened with her, so she keeps investigating all around the region. Ironically (or not) she learned that despite not having much (if any) progress with her own case, she's good at investigation in general and she started taking up cases all over the clan's territory and even a few from other clan's in the region, very recently opening up her own detective agency called Brasil's Bane.
Despite her determination, Brasil still struggle with her new form, having less limbs than she used to frustates her to no end and there are days that she simply lay in her bed trying to cope. She moved from her family's home after some time to open the Agency, but she still lives nearby and they're her greatest support.
The change she went shook her, and she lost a lot of things she thought being granted for, but thanks to that strange accident she also found out her true vocation and she and her family grew even more closer due to the circumstances, so in the end all is (almost) well.
