Maiverel grew up in a quaint, rural part of the Sunbeam Ruins, but
his mind has always been somewhere else. He’s has had strange and
vivid dreams for most of his life, and only recently discovered that they
aren’t exactly normal. The couple of times that he mentioned to a stranger
that he’d seen them in his dreams the past night didn’t go over well, so he’s
decided to keep that to himself. He'd been mostly content to put it out of his
mind during the day, but always had a fearful, gnawing curiosity. He says he
left home to get away from the country, but deep down admits that he’s looking
for some kind of an answer to the visions that worry him more the older he gets.

During his travels he learned how to bind books, and the trade has become his
main source of income. He’s found that keeping his hands busy helps clear his
head. He’s not the best at making friends, but those that know him find him
friendly and well meaning, if a little annoying to work with at times. Despite
his attempts to focus, Maiverel can be absent-minded and forgetful. If you
find a frantic looking note lying around, it’s probably his.
