Though not originally of Clan Lortham, Seraphine is an old and much-loved member of the lair. Following in the example of her Imperial clan-drakes, this Skydancer also practices a craft, and that craft is trade. Seraphine handles negotiations and business the clan conducts with the Dunhoof centaurs, putting her inborn gift of diplomacy to good use. Her size and her friend Maraquet's are also decent enough that Seraphine is also responsible for going to actual markets elsewhere, rather than just wait for trading ships or dragons to come by the lair.

Seraphine is adventurous, to say least. She loves her clan and will return home wherever she might go, but the smallest promise of new discovery, especially in the realms of edibles and collectibles, will capture Seraphine's unerring interest until she's gotten a taste of it. Out of all the dragons in Lortham, Seraphine's hoard is the biggest and most varied. Many of them are also gifts from Haiyin, the reclusive and cranky potter, who Seraphine has somehow managed to get along with.

Currently, as the Imperials aren't too thrilled with the thought of raising children -- and it's always been this way; these craftsmen never seem to like hatchlings! -- Seraphine teams up with a newly arrived male Skydancer, Maraquet, to make sure the young ones have an enjoyable experience of life. Though, since she is occupied with trade, Maraquet usually ends up the one doing the brunt of the caretaking...

Well. He doesn't mind.
