Larimar, High Mage of the Water

Larimar was found drifting along the coast of the Crystalspine Reaches. Although he's a fairly good swimmer, he was much too exhausted and a stray maren tail thwacked him unconscious a mere thirty seconds ago. Whirlpool had found him, like a many others in the clan, and drug him ashore. However, she had taken a liking to him and kept him nearby while she pursued her charge (aka: catching fish for the clan). He slowly awoke to her, and was a bit confused when he saw tiny remnants of a beard. Bluntly, he asked her about it, to which she said, "The Arcanist blessed some few folks with enough magic to turn me. However, my beard from a previous stage of my life refused to go away, so I singed it off myself. Apologies if it was a bit of a shoddy job." and she went back to fishing. Yes, she looked an almighty like someone who was born female, but she still had tiny stubble under her chin webbing. It didn't matter to him, though, as he thought she wa gorgeous, especially as she fished nearby the shore. It was then that he decided to stay with the clan, supposing his charge was to be by his side- he was mighty wrong. When he was brought to Jasper, who was just about the most wobbly tundra he's ever seen, she declared him a water mage. 'What? What in the world is that??' he thought to himself. Nevertheless, he let himself be led and instructed on how things work, and to his surprise, a mage is quite a big deal in this clan. He had quite a bit of say in important matters despite being the representative's assistant. Through his training, he realized then that his charge was his newfound "job": being a high mage. He would have never guessed he would end up a water mage, but he guessed it made sense with his origins being a swamp- about as close to a body of water as one could get. He was a bit far from his inborn element's territory, but he didn't mind. He was a bit too brightly colored for such a thing, anyway.
