Biography
Araysh had been flying solo for many decades before she found a place to settle.
She had called many places home, and each and every time she left them behind as the wheel turned and she had to go.
The future had never been clear, people came and people left. At times Araysh herself was the one leaving quietly, letting her strong wing carry her away sure no one would have missed her.
She never looked back or checked if that was true, but along the way, a companion appeared in her life.
He arrived on her path and started walking by her side, he had never asked if it was ok, when she silently asked about it with a single slightly perplexed glance, he shrugged and smirked back. Neither of their steps faltered or stopped. And so their life together began.
In time she learnt that his name was Lyrunex, he had his own scars, but he carried them with pride, like badges of honour showing off to the world that he survived. More than one someone had tried and failed to bring him down. And here he still was, walking down the path he had chosen for himself.
From then on it took almost no time at all for more feline foundlings to join their path and see the two as parents. Many might have wondered why Araysh took in so many kittens and raised them like she would have done with her hatchlings, but neither she nor Lyrunex cared about the opinion of others.
All their cats were members of their family, and on one thing they both had always agreed on, Family was the most precious treasure.
As time passed more kitties came into their lives, when Fubar joined the family Lyrunex knew it was time to let Araysh wash the newcomer with the love they so desperately needed, after all, he knew their bond was unbreakable.
One more pair of eyes looking over Merkael couldn't hurt, and if there was a comfy sofa and a warm fireplace to complete the picture, well it wasn't exactly a hardship accepting a domesticated life with such perks...
