Born within the plague flight found by the kinship, Demi is a silent banescale with smoke curling off her and a will of iron. They are second generation, his mother being one of the first dragons to crawl out of the Blacksand Annex but without their family she had no guide. They didn't have the Flamecallers song to show her what to do. When she arrived to the lea she sees a land unlike any they had known, a blue sky and lush green to the horizon and beyond. But the plants and the vines were not the only thing she found, in a crater she saw a bundle of gold, a little baby coatl.
As she grew up, she took to the coatls full heartedly. Tigie taught her bits of coatl culture and Demi fell in love with the golden coatl, Pytha. Pytha learned to understand her body language and translates for the clan. Demi helps protect her and keep her company in return. When Tigie taught Demi about the coatl tradition of giving gifts to show affection or stop conflict, Gifts began appearing around the clan from late at night. Everyone knows who its from but they feign ignorance to keep the game alive.
As an adult Demi and Pytha go around the continent scavenging for materials, digging and laughing from dusk til dawn. They always come home to open arms and good food, and they fall to rest together when the sky goes dark.
