Nimba began learning the ways of magic and healing as soon as she was old enough to walk without falling over. Her apprenticeship would have continued as planned if she had not shown such skill at manipulating magical energies. Before long she had outstripped her teacher's abilities. Worse, she delved into types of magic that her birth clan considered forbidden. She was exiled at an age when most dragons are still living with their parents.

Nimba wandered Sornieth for months, learning from anyone who would teach her. She craved knowledge foremost, but as she grew older, she learned compassion for others as well. Eventually she ended up in the Wasteland, attempting to cure the rot of a thousand diseases.
