Oh, how it knows of the eyes that watch. It has always known, known since it was born. He keeps his head down, moves slow with soft words. Such forced harmlessness attracts the attention of the watcher, but it effectively keeps the watcher from knowing what goes on inside his head. For this reason, others have dubbed him the puppet; it dutifully plays its performance without a break in the act, but it makes one wonder: what, truly, lies beneath? When he accepts a meal of spiced poultry with fried rotala with a placid smile and thank you, is it one he truly enjoys? When he walks a stray hatchling home to safety at night, is it out of a genuine kindness in its heart, or is it merely to curry favor with the watcher? Surely all that self restraint comes with a heavy toll. What might make the puppet finally crack...? (courtesy of Cnidocyte)

- it's irises are nearly impossible to make out from its eye whites
- he moves slowly, almost in an exhausted manner
- it always seems to keep an eye out around it
- puppet does not keep a familiar, but is often followed by strays. it unnerves him
- a quiet gaoler, it is impossible to get him to open up and speak to you about much
