Formerly of the Arcane flight, others found Zed was too aggressive to stay there, and more or less kicked him out. He was all right with that for the most part, though it hurt to be exiled by those he was close to. He was drawn to Ellyia, the former leader during the age where the Stryke was in the Fire flight, for her power and ambitiousness. He became more attached to her mate, Bjorkkle however. When she deemed Bjorkkle weak after he broke down after she killed their hatchlings for being "weak," she pressured Zed into have a clutch of hatchlings, despite her status with Bjorkkle. They were slain as well later on however, except for one, Terracotta (who later ran away out of guilt that was not hers to have, and later died alone).

Hurt from his hatchlings being slain, as well as his best friend's grief, led him to aid Bjorkkle to aid in the uprising to overthrow Elliya. He helped his friend rebuild and restructure the clan in the aftermath of the uprising as best he could, but he isn't a very clever dragon. He's much more headstrong, and tempremental. He's often a very violent dragon, solving things with aggression, but he's very loyal. He's literal, and often needs things simplified to understand.
