Biography

*Huge thanks to Ikan for writing this for me (>w<)
"No, no, don't touch that!" An exasperated sigh escaped from Gamma's mouth as he quickly picked up the naughty little hatchling who was reaching out for one of his vials.

He booped the little tundra hatchling's snout, causing the little one to giggle, before placing him down near the other hatchlings. Gamma clapped his hands together, and when all the hatchlings turned towards him, he began speaking. "Alrighty, everyone, if you want to stay here in my workshop and look at all the pretty chemicals, then you can't play with any of the vials, alright?"

A little spiral hatchling raised his paw, and when Gamma nodded at him, she asked, "But why can't we touch them, Big brother Gamma?" Gamma blinked, before he hummed, "Well, you see, some of my vials have liquids that can't be moved around too much or else they won't be as pretty as they are now. We wouldn't want that to happen would we, hatchlings?" All of the hatchlings, especially the little spiral, shook their heads rapidly.

Gamma nodded in satisfaction, whilst inwardly letting out a sigh of relief. "Alrighty then, does anyone want to hear a story?" Cheers and excited shrieks rang out, and Gamma silently bid his daily afternoon nap farewell, as the children pulled him towards the bookshelf.

Just as he was sitting down, a book was thrust into his paws, and all of the children were sitting silently in front of him, staring at him excitedly. Gamma chuckled before he opened the storybook. "Once upon a time, there was a little dragon prince. He quite loved to draw, and. . ." As he continued reading, the children would occasionally let out 'oohs' and 'ahhs' and even gasps, depending on the part of the story.

Finally, as the story came to an end, Gamma was met with the sight of a pile of sleeping hatchlings, all curled around each other. A content smile appeared on his face, and with his ghostly wisps, he pulled a nearby blanket over the sleeping pile.

With a smile on his face, he slowly got up, and tip-toed to the kitchen, planning to make some snacks for the hatchlings.

Humming a song to himself, with the help of his ghostly wisps he began making the sweets.

"Ah wait, that's too much sugar-" "I'm pretty sure the recipe said to add one and a half cups of milk and not the entire carton." "... I think it'd be best if I made the sweets myself, otherwise I might end up being charged for poisoning the hatchlings."

Ignoring the first few accidents, Gamma was now done with his baking, and was happily decorating the cupcakes. Soon, a plate full of cupcakes with a generous amount of icing was on the table, ready to be eaten.

Gamma looked at the cupcakes, a sense of pride filling his chest, as he sighed to himself. "Ah, if being a chemist wasn't my passion, I could probably be a professional baker."

He carried the plate outside, humming a little song to himself. Just as he was about to place it on the dining table, his eyes landed on his table full of vials, where the tundra hatchling from earlier was fiddling with one of the vials.

Gamma stared blankly at the hatchling, and only when the little tundra was about to shake the vial, did he react, exclaiming, "WAIT, NO- I mean, I thought we promised not to play with the vials, {hatchling name}?"

Like a deer caught in the headlights, {hatchling name} froze, before he pouted at Gamma. "Yeah, but I'm not playing with them! I'm just touching them!" Gamma raised an eyebrow at that, and {hatchling name} shrank in on himself, grumbling, "But, why can't I play with them? I wanna make pretty colored water too..."

Gamma sighed, an exasperated expression on his face. Meanwhile, inwardly, he was full on screaming, wondering how exactly he could make {hatchling name} gently keep the vial back where it was, so as to prevent any injuries and tears, the latter being of both the hatchlings and himself.

Finally, he had a genius idea, and he cleared his throat, leaning in towards the little tundra, as though he was whispering a secret. "Well, you see, most of my vials with pretty liquids, they're not just pretty water..." The little tundra leaned in even more, his curiosity evident on his face. Gamma cackled inwardly, as he whispered, "They're actually... really bitter and icky medicine..."

The tundra gasped, and when his eyes fell upon the vial in his paws, his nose scrunched up in disgust. He quickly put it back, before cautiously sniffing his paws.

Gamma chuckled at this, before he gently nudged him. "Go on and wake your friends, I've made cupcakes for all of you." The tundra gasped excitedly when he saw the plateful of cupcakes in Gamma's paws. His tiny wings flapped in happiness, as he quickly ran towards the snoring cuddle pile.

Soon, everyone was awake and munching on cupcakes. Gamma chuckled at their icing smeared faces, before he clapped his hands. "Since everyone was so well-behaved today, I'll be giving you all a surprise gift!" Once again, excited shrieks rang out. Cupcakes were stuffed into tiny mouths, before everyone was jumping in front of Gamma, asking for the surprise gift.

Gamma smiled, before he gestured at everyone to wipe their faces. Once everyone's faces were sparkling clean, he grabbed his bag full of colorful vials, and with the children following him, went into the nearby forest.

It was already dusk by the time they left the house, and by the time they reached their destination, the stars were already shining in the sky.

As they reached an open clearing, Gamma stopped, and gestured for the children to sit down. Whilst the children were sitting down, Gamma swiftly took out a few vials full of colorful liquids of many kinds. With deft hands, he mixed them together in a large vial, resulting in a multicolored liquid, that occasionally shone. The children 'ooh'ed as it sparkled and shone. Gamma grinned, before he added a drop of a silver colored liquid, whilst exclaiming, "Look up!"

The children did so, and their eyes widened as little sparks rose up from the vial, before exploding in multicolored fireworks. Cheers rose from the children as more and more fireworks exploded.

By the time the impromptu fireworks show was finished, it was almost dawn. The children had once again fallen asleep in a pile. Gamma sighed, before he took out a folded blanket from his bag and covered the children with it. His eyes were full of fondness as he gazed at the hatchlings. "Good night, little hatchlings. I hope you have lovely dreams."
