Taraka

A deep sea witch, Taraka is sensitive to light. As one of Rokshata's protégés, when she came to land she gave up her sight to be able to learn from one of the best, as even the ever-gloom of Indrali lands were still too bright for her eyes. She has since developed her other senses, keenly aware of sounds and smells. Now whether her eyes are blindfolded or not, nothing much slips past Taraka.

After years of tutelage under her senior, Taraka has returned to the depths of the seas to begin her own House. House Hirahala, a coven lying at the deepest depths of the seabed. Her departure from Indrali was an amicable one, and as she begins to set up her new life, she's even been accompanied by several Indrali members, including Rokshata's mate, who helped escort all of the non-gilled future residents of the House to their new lands.

House Hirahala is a confusing, haphazard mixture of sea caves, some of them enchanted with fresh air and others completely submerged. It's curious to Taraka that even one non-water-breathing dragon would agree to live at the bottom of the ocean, better yet multiple. But for most of those residents, House Hirahala is the perfect chance for solitude. It is for them that she has compromised a portion of caves, so that while an ability to swim is still required, water-breathing is not.

All of her potions use salt water as their base.
