Biography

Lore notes
  • A peculiar creature that resembles an Obelisk dragon by all accounts, but is entirely made of plant matter. Her body is wood, and her mane and wings are actually leaves. The koi splotches on her body are a symbiotic moss. Eating the leaves from her body can cure or alleviate many diseases; they can also purify water.
  • Unlike actual Obelisks she cannot revert to a statue form, however, she can become so still that she appears to be nothing more than a dragon-shaped tree.
  • Has no recollection of her past nor any idea of what she is. The only clue to her purpose is that she enters a highly aggressive trance upon seeing any sort of blight or rot, which she will attack and destroy. Any attempt at breaking her out of this trance is futile--only when the rot is removed from her presence or destroyed will she return to her normal state. She has no recollection of events during the trance.
  • Feels uneasy near Plague dragons.
  • Was discovered dormant in an ancient vault near the Seedscar sealed with powerful Plague magic.
  • The current theory is that Lichen was created by the Gladekeeper during her war with the Plaguebringer, perhaps meant to counter the blight while the Gladekeeper was occupied with her battles against her sister. Why she resembles the recently unearthed Obelisks, despite being formed centuries before their creation, is a mystery.
