Biography

From the beginning tremors of the land, Fissure emerged first of the family, her skin tearing and crumbling alongside the earth as she forced her way out of the mantle and onto the crust. The ground shattered and gave way to the path she forged. Fissure's scream can shatter the land. Her ashy skin is as cracked and flaky as the layers of the earth, creating itchy patches she's scratches and picks at almost constantly to relieve the irritation. Fire flickers and lava oozes between the rips. Her throat is perpetually hoarse and scratchy due to her shattering ability, making her voice come out as a croak - something Abrasion teases her about constantly by putting toads on her while she sleeps. Her favorite drink is coffee, and her least is anything carbonated, due to the nickname Abrasion uses for her, Fizz. As the de facto leader and strategist of the family, she plans out their attacks and points where to go in order to set up the ambushes for hunting s e e t h e. She loathes being above-mantle, but hates their creator more, and so makes a vacation out of it. She was the one who petitioned for the family to spend a few weeks above-mantle after battles, to recuperate and recover their strength. She typically spends the time napping. It makes continued existence tolerable. When Kindle and Inglenook go off fishing, she and Abrasion like to let some pent-up furor out by rutting. Fissure often grows obsessive with tracking the Flamecaller's location, whether above-mantle or below-crust. Deep, deep down, she knows the family can't ever actually do something about Her. But that doesn't stop her from studying every facet and flaw in the Deity, to learn potential weaknesses and aspects to exploit. Just. In case. Of an opportunity. |
