Biography

Nezra is a product of the Boneyard, her egg was an offering to the PlagueBringer so that her parents would get safe passage. This however did not happen, their offering became a curse and their body became riddled with disease and they died only a few feet from their alter. No one to this day knows why the PlagueBringer accepts or denies offerings made to her but the faithful keep offering. Nez was found by a scavenging tribe and hatched into servitude. This was the norm and she knew nothing else for most of her life. She was a supporter , she distracted dangerous prey and enemies so that the tribe leaders could get the kill safer. This left her with scars , but most were manageable. However one swipe from a much larger imperial left her with a large claw scare on the left hind thigh and a limp. The limp does not weaken her but it made her look much weaker and this made her a target. She was nipped at, harassed and constantly forced into submission. Though it was inconvenient and painful she endured, again she did not know any different. Over time she lived with this routine and grew into an older weathered and strong soul, one that not even a stampeding imperial could make budge. Dealing with this constant harassment and being a subordinate made her very mild tempered and well mannered, she never lost her cool. But she noticed as the clan grew and shrank, as the members were born and died , she and a few other dragons were all that was left of the tribes older residence, it seemed that not many dragons made it to mid age in the boneyard , most succumb to illness or are killed in battle. The only ones left were Nezra, Onin, Storm, Nenusa and their current leader Neja. This perplexed Nezra, if she was weak , if she was the runt, than why was she one of the only dragons of age left in this pack. This notion caused a tipping point in Nezra’s psyche that maybe she is not weak. It never was a feeling of grandeur but a feeling of enough. That day Neja went to pin Nezra as she walked by but Nezra with quick and steady reflexes grabbed a hold of Neja neck and slammed her to the ground. With in seconds the dynamic had turned, an almost genetic response turned Neja into a subordinate and Nezra into a leader. Without Nezra even realizing it she was now the lead hunter in the pack and all the dragons now looked to her. But in her normal subdued nature she did not even claim the lead hunters den, she just went back and slept in her hole on the outside of the lair.

After a while Nezra realized that she had to take on a more active role as lead hunter. And as witnessed by all the gods she was a natural but brutal. She started attacking and beating up all the other dragons in the lair but not with viscous intent though others may have seen it that way. She did this to harden them, so that maybe more dragons would survive if they were constantly challenged. She also had a clan to protect so unfortunately those that were to weak were forced out as she could not afford them slowing her down. Another big change she made was size, her goal was growth and to fill their ranks with only survivors. Nothing she did was personal , it was just how she knew to survive. Even though now as lead hunter she could have children she chose not to as leading the pack was her priority. The pack as a whole started to flourish , but many individuals perished. When the clan got strong enough and large enough that the makeshift dens and holes in the ground would not suffice she set out for a more permanent place. After a long search and being nomads for years they found the Emperors skeleton they now call home. But she was not alone in trying to claim it. It was a great tactical location and had tons of space that would be easily fortified. So The pack laid siege to the current residence attacking all that fled , killing even young dragons and starving the rest. When the current residence tried to surrender Nezra slaughtered them all to ensure no retribution would be sought.

Once they had their new home Nezra, set up even more fortification and had escape tunnels dug out so that no pack could trap them in.

At the present time Nezra is leading with a cool head and confidant decisions. Every day she opens the floor for other dragons to challenge her. If they win she will step down from lead hunter. To date there has been many challengers but know winners. If they fought well and showed courage , they go on to live life as they normally would. If they fight poorly and still have the nerve to challenge Nezra she ends their life. She counts it as a mercy, they were fools and they would die soon anyway. Nezra spends time with each of the scavenged hatchlings, looking for prodigies to raise as her own.

Of her pack she expects a few key things , 1 loyalty to the pack, not to her. If she is not the right ruler then they mush put the pack above her. 2 no stealing, possession is determined by first claim, stealing can be punished by exile or death, both of which are pretty much a death sentence. Strength, you must contribute and must not weigh down the clan. If a dragon follow these few things then they are fine and other than the daily nips should be off Nezra’s radar.

Personality- Nezra is calm silent and stern. Even when fighting she does not show anger or passion but has extreme concentration. She fights materialistically , maybe even taking a few hits while waiting for the best opportunity to strike. She is known to pin or win a fight withing 3 moves and no warning. The only time she shows a wild side is on the hunt, while chasing she lets go of all her self control hitting the prey with the vengeance of 1000 beatings. But moments later , stained in blood she is cool and calm once again. She does have a limp in her back left leg and with her subdued nature portrays herself and Meek and week. She is far from ether, but never tries to prove it.
