An eager Spiral who enjoys the thrill of gem hunting. His bright nocturnal eyes catch the glimmers of crystals within the rocks, at any level of light, and joined by his friendly Emerald Webwing, he can peck and claw through the dirt to uncover many fine gemstones. Some, he sells, but many of his spoils are kept in his various satchels and mesh bags, which he brings out to show the younger crystal enthusiasts just what wonders lie under the deep earth. Its favourite gemstones include jade, labradorite, rhodochrosite, and of course, emeralds.
Some say gem is insane, with such a love for mere rocks that happen to have a colourful shine, but to Gemrush, they are the crazy ones.
The skulls he wears, the ropes of which are lined with fired amethyst beads, are symbols of his Plague clan, and he wears them with pride. To it, the skulls are lucky charms, allowing the next harvest of gems to be a generous one.
