golden boy with not so golden aspirations

tldr a disowned elven prince who thought it would be a grand idea to abscond with his family's ancient fey heirloom of an enchanted lure gifted to his eladrin ancestors by king oberon of the summer court in hopes of catching said fey king's attention and impressing him. val was very, very, very wrong.

now wanders the world entertaining the masses with performances more glamorous than the next still with the misguided intention of, you guessed it, catching the eye of king oberon. so far, nothing has come from it, except a fat purse of gold and a string of admirers in every city and tavern. they just aren't the admirers he wants.

deep down, is a very lonely soul who just wants companionship and someone to share his burdens with. outwardly, is the dictionary definition of arrogance and pretentious. does not know when to hold his tongue.

has paid for bodyguards a few times when his royal mother and father have sent assassins and the like after him to return the lute back to the elven court (he is, unfortunately and obviously, nothing to them anymore). is actually skilled in magic and combat enough that he's made it this far, though his true strengths lay in honeyed words and twisting the truth.
