As every hatchling had before her, Amane grew up on tales of her family's great legacy. Darkened warriors of great renown and strength, Amane dreamed of taking her place among the other great Night Warriors. But while members of the great family tree, neither of her parents had been fighters. Amane knew she would have to work twice as hard to be recognized as a great warrior. So when the day came to leave her home, Amane set out with her head held high.

While not a guardian dragon herself, the Night Warriors prided themselves on defending their charges. Amane did not have to travel far. A few weeks after leaving the home of her original clan, she came across a pair of ambassadors struggling in a skirmish with a small group of rogue plague dragons. Amane charged to their rescue. While she suffered great wounds, she and her allies managed to win the fight. The two mates introduced themselves as Mars and Iranangi. They hailed from an artisan clan in the Windswept Plateau. While both dragons were not plague dragons themselves, they had a vicious nature that made them an excellent choice for updating the clan's map of the Scarred Wasteland.

Interested in the tales the two dragons told of the jovial clan, Amane accompanied them as they finished their map and returned home. She found quickly that she liked the sweet breezes of the Windswept Plateau in opposition of the pungent air of the Wasteland. Clan Willowbreeze welcomed her warmly, used to travelers staying with them for some time before continuing on their way. It didn't take long for Amane to decide to stay.

While a peaceful artisan clan, they still faced beastclan enemies and rogue dragon clans looking to take their fertile lands. Willowbreeze boasted sharp witted and swift fighters, and Amane wasted no time in ingratiating herself among them. Venus, the captain of the Clan's warriors, had heard stories of the Night Warriors, and was eager to help Amane refine her training. Amane worked best alongside the silent wildclaw, Shallow. The two patrolled the Clan's home during the night, ambushing interlopers before swiftly receding back into the shadows once more.

Amane spent many months training and patrolling with Clan Willowbreeze until she felt she had learned what she could and it was time to seek out additional training elsewhere. It might also have had to do with the fact that Shallow had also left to join another clan. Amane bid farewell to her other longtime friends in Clan Willowbreeze before heading to the Arena to scout out other great warriors. There, she found a small but growing clan from Dragonhome willing to take her in and continue her training. In return, she offered them her services as a Night Warrior.
