She's the cutest

Mako is a Spiral who first joined the Clan when its old leaders were still in power. She lived a very happy life, knowing she was safe in her new home, not a candidate for exaltation despite her simple genes. However, everything changed as soon as Takkun rose into power. She soon realized that she could not live in comfort any longer. Mako was desperate for some way to secure her place in the Clan. She didn't want to be exalted no matter what, and struggled to save herself. When she found out about the performing group that was forming she begged to join, and was accepted by Rikichi and Natsuki without a second thought. She has now dedicated her whole life to clowning, using her very flexible body to her advantage as she performs her slapstick routines.
She is very popular with the younger dragons of the Clan because of her childlike antics, and she finds joy in making them laugh. Mako has immersed herself in her performances to mask her incredible emotional instabilities. She knows everyone in her family has been exalted, and sometimes has difficulty coping with her constant fear of joining them. By keeping others entertained she is cheering up the lost, scared hatchling that still lives inside her, trembling in fear of being forced off into war.
