Biography

The Blood-stained

Bio: Eio suffers from a strange genetic defect that causes blood to ooze from the weak points in his skin. Using bandages, he can clot the blood and keep himself from bleeding further. By an amazing stroke of luck, Eio's body is extremely efficient and can withstand the almost constant blood loss by eating and drinking large amounts of food and water. In addition to this, he often eat raw iron ore as a supplement. Personality wise, this coatl is insightful and introspective, though he appears to have an air of sleepy blankness due to his expressionless eyes. Even when looking directly at something, it always feels like his gaze is elsewhere. Despite that, he can see perfectly fine.

History:
It had always seemed like Eio was never meant to survive. Born from a cracked egg, the coalt's feathers and scales weren't white, but rather a sickly pale, as if the color had been leeched from them. It only took a few hours before a major genetic mutation began to show. Not only was Eio lethargic, but it seemed that the more he moved, the more his skin began to tear. Blood oozed from between his scales and from the base of his feathers, leaving drops of the liquid on the ground behind him.

Soon after, Eio was sent away. Food was scarce in the Frigid Floes and it seemed clear that little Eio would quickly die of blood loss. Taken quietly away from his family, the hatchling was too young to understand what was happening. All he knew was that he was hungry and his body felt heavy, so he settled down in the snow and closed his eyes.

Eio awoke to sharp pangs of hunger and heat. The air around him was much warmer than he was used to. Too fatigued to stand, the coatl wondered how he reached such a strange place. He watched thick slimy tendril pulsate around him, their pestilence causing him to feel at home. Then suddenly, a jab to his back caught his attention. Turning, he saw another coatl, a deep red one, looking down at him. "Are you ok?" It said. "Hey, come with me."
