Toad forages "for the clan." The absolute unit will wander for days, sometimes weeks, gathering only the best foliage at the peak of its season and hunting the most tender meat. And every time, he will return empty-handed, having eaten every last bit of it himself.

Incredibly oblivious, Toad wanders through caves, scorched forests, even haunted ruins without a care in the world or a thought in his head other than when he can get his next meal. The clan has largely stopped trying to stop him from his long outings as he searches for the ideal next feast, partially because they have realized that Toad's nonthreatening energy generally serves to keep native creatures from seeing him as a threat and, perhaps more importantly, they have learned that if Toad isn't allowed to wander, he will consume the entirety of the clan's food stores as fast as he can.
