A certain sort of isolation and ostracization comes with constantly creating and expelling noxious fumes, yet it doesn't seem to weigh on him too heavily. He seems to prefer being left alone, to his own devices, and sometimes leans into the frightful, mysterious reputation he's garnered.
Hatchlings can't seem to get enough of him around spookier holidays, for some reason...

70236197p.png His brightly colored fumes are created and released via vents underneath his scales on his face, feet, wing tips, and tail tip. The exact shade of this gas is related to the composition, though specifics of said composition remain unknown. He is immune to his own toxins, and any of his offspring with the same kind of gas. 57318751p.png The almost unnaturally bright pattern of her wings and the streaks of color on her once pure black body denote the toxicity of the gases she creates. Whether these colorations are separate mutations or somehow tied to the creation of or exposure to her fumes is unclear. They are reminiscent of a poison dart frog’s adaptations.
