Biography

- BananaTree -
- "Nana" -

7wv9OeJ.png

Uh-oh, looks like this energetic dragon wandered a little too far from her home lair, and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here, or to the Traveling Dragon Rest Hub. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

Notes from Various Players:

Bananatree, "Nana", is a pure G2. She's super cute and has boundless enthusiasm for practically any task she tackles. Wow, what a mouthful! Speaking of which, she also loves to chat. A lot. She can talk for hours on end without getting tired, but after a bit she does need a glass of water. She's always yearned to have hatchlings of her own.

Nana's Storybook:

Druidic Crown Nana looked around at her life and frowned, feeling imprisoned more than anything else, by the simple fact of being a Clan Royal. Her days seemed to be planned out for her, almost the same each day, with a minor change here and there. It was tedious and repetitive, and it made her feel like she was suffocating. She yearned for her life to change, for the ability to see the wide world of Sornieth. She longed to be more than some royal, she wanted to become a well-known adventurer; to go wherever she wanted, when she wanted, and to be able to see all kinds of things, not just what was 'appropriate' for a royal's eyes.
She found herself in a flower field not far from her Clan's homeland, located deep within the Worldedge Wetlands, and plucked a handful of them, admiring their natural beauty. There were several things the Nana loved about her homeland, from the soft green grass that covered the forest floors, to the tall towering trees and their twisty vines, to the small rivers that weaved through the trees, bushes, and rocks. It was a beautiful place. TuSGLme.png
Silver Guppy She loved to fish in her spare time, when she would sneak away from her tutors and her guards-- not to eat them, but to play with them. And she found herself on the edge of the river, reaching a claw towards a small silver fish. Unfortunately, Nana lost her balance and fell face-first into the deep river that separated her clan from the rest of the world. She wasn't quick enough to swim back to the river bank, and she found herself carried downstream. Instead of fighting it, she let the water carry her away.

Her body grew restless and she began to squirm in the water, before her head went under the water. She was struggling to keep herself afloat now, and she tried very hard to get to shore. She looked up at the sky and murmured a small plea to Gladekeeper. As if in reply, there was a bend in the river with tons of fallen trees jutting out. Nana grabbed onto one of the thicker branches and drug herself out of the water. She'd been draped across the log for several minutes when a glint in the bushes caught her attention.
Gathering her strength, she crawled over to it and reached into the bush, pulling out the shiny thing. A horn, of some sort. She looked around at her surroundings, and frowned. There was nothing here? It must have been left from long ago. She looked down at the horn in her hands and examined it closely. There were large cracks tracing across its surface, and it was slightly dented. It seemed to have a musical quality to it, and she pondered what would happen if someone blew into it... would it bring blessings or certain doom to whoever brought it's song to life? Celestial Horn

She opened her satchel and set the horn in the bag, cursed or not, it was too cool to leave behind.

Nana looked around her and took in her choices. She was well past her clan's territory, somewhere South, she judged from the shadow that the Sun cast down. She could continue moving and start her travels around the world... or she could head home. There was a strong breeze the seemed to pull her forward, and she staggered with it. Go, it seemed to whisper. She cast a quick, sad look behind her before turning her attention to the woods in front of her. Go.

--------

Nana had been following a narrow path that ran parallel to the river. The treetops seemed to block out the sky and it took her longer than it should have, to realize that it had begun to grow dark. The temperature slowly started dropping and Nana hugged herself shaking of the shivers. She was cold and wet and very, very lost. She was lost in thought when she tripped over a tree-root and fell forwards, hitting the ground with a solid th-unk sound. She laid there feeling sorry for herself for a minute before examining herself and wincing at the swollen mass that was her ankle. She leaned back against the large tree trunk and curled into herself, exhaustion overtaking her and lulling her off to sleep.
Dolomite Geode There was a loud rustling sound that caused Nana to jolt awake. She held her breath and searched the never-ending darkness that surrounded her. She clutched the nearest rock to her chest and held it, ready to strike whatever was lurking in the bushes. It was faint, almost un-noticeable, but Nana saw a shift in the shadows, and she lashed out and struck whatever creature was lurking, with the rock in her claw. She felt the rock connecting with a solid mass, and let out a surprised gasp as the mass fell to the ground. She could see the faint outline of a dragon laying in front of her, and she dropped the rock in shock.
As it hit the ground, the rock broke open, revealing the shimmering copper minerals inside. On instinct, Nana scooped the broken rock bits into her satchel. She then turned her attention to the lump on the ground, unsure if it was a friend or a foe, she clutched the tree trunk and climbed into the tree, hiding herself in the leafy foliage. She balanced herself carefully, and stayed on high alert.

She watched with tired eyes as the forest began to lighten up, as the sun crept higher and higher above the horizon. She instantly looked at the ground and was horrified to see that there was nothing on the ground. Cautiously, she lowered herself down from the tree and scanned the area. Nothing. She turned her attention in a different direction, and continued wandering around the forest.

--------

The boarder between where the rivers of the Viridian Labyrinth touched the shores of the Sunbeam Ruins were surprisingly closer than Nana's education had led her to believe. She could see the stunning pillars of what used to be and she was overcome with an insatiable need to cross the water and explore the ruins. She approached the water with extreme caution and surveyed her surroundings. There was a small boat that was just big enough for her to use. She pushed it further into the water and leapt into it, before rowing herself across the water.
It was an easy enough crossing, and she landed on the sandy shore without incident. She launched herself into the water, and tugged the boat far enough out of the water that it wouldn't float away, before turning her attention to the ruins that stood before her. There was a fine, yellow-y orange colored dust that settled on most of the white marble, and she pulled out a small round vial to collect some of the powder in. If nothing else, it was another reminder of Nana's taste of freedom. Unicorn Dust

Miscellaneous Finds:
Gelatinous Orb Somewhere along the way, Nana acquired this odd orb. She doesn't quite remember the story of how she got it, where she picked it up at, or any details around it's existence in her bag. On the occasion that she finds herself studying the mysterious substance, she can see herself in it, but it's clearly not her.
