Daybreak
Daybreak was brought into the Wind Runners as a hatchling, and made himself quite a home. The Runner's Wing, Komaran, had also decided to take him in as his own. Komaran hopes that Daybreak will one day become the Runner's Wing, like himself.
Now as a dragon, Daybreak helps Komaran with all of his work, and enjoys it quite so. He hopes to become Stonerunner's Wing one day, but is prepared for that to not happen. In the meantime, he has lots of fun hanging out with Pearl.
He admires her secret wisdom and her kind, sweet nature. Unlike many other dragons, he isn't annoyed by her bubbliness or the fact that she treats a stranger the same way she would a friend. In fact, he likes that part about her. He gets embarrassed by the clan's gossip around them, and doesn't like the fact that many see them as competing against each other to become Stonerunner's wing. All he wants is to live his life in peace, and to be able to do so with a dragon he's known since many of his earlier days.
He and Pearl have a nest of four eggs now, which certainly doesn't help the gossip. But it certainly makes him feel proud, and at peace.
