Biography

JORVHEN IRONTUSK

half-orc paladin, oath of redemption

please just let him cook for you

every dish is guilt free, unlike his conscience

tldr a quiet, unassuming older man who keeps to himself as best he can but can't help sticking his nose into others' problems with the intention of helping them as best he can in any effort to redeem himself for past crimes.

jorvhen was raised by his adoring and devoted grandmother and grew up alongside his older half-brother. it was an idyllic life until his grandmother passed while he was still young and left him her cookbook with the wish that he fill it with recipes from all over the land, as she had been too frail to travel by the time she began compiling it. he and his half-brother, stannen, began to journey around the world, with stannen teaching jorvhen swordplay and urging him to get stronger.

the peace did not last for as he got older and his cooking skills improved along with his sword skills, he and his brother were contracted by a mercenary group to assist them on some jobs. one thing led to another, with jorvhen always deferring to stannen, until one day he inadvertently committed a sin so grave the blood will never wash off his hands.

he has since broken all ties with the mercenary group and his half-brother and spends his days wandering the realm from city to village, focusing on his grandmother's wish to add new recipes and doing his best to keep his sword sheathed at his side. he cannot abide unnecessary violence and despises those who take advantage of the innocent. while he considers himself a paladin for his desire to defend the weak, he doesn't feel particularly religious and instead pulls his strength from his desire for atonement and peace. he will never hesitate to offer someone down on their luck a cup of tea and a friendly pat on the back.
