Adanae is considered one of the most beautiful members of the Starbard clan, and she knows it. Vain and impetuous, she wandered away from the dragons of Light, to join the philosophies of the Bards that lived under the auspices of the Arcanist.

Flowers and feathers are two things she adores, and she accepts gifts of fealty from the few partners that she thinks are good enough for her eggs.

Despite her vanity, she is a loyal friend to her familiars, always learning the languages of the birds who keep her company. Often she feels as though she gets along better with birds and other creatures, than with dragons; even her own kind. She prefers to mimic the whistles and twitters and chirps of the feathered friends who share her world with her. When she is not grooming herself or looking at her reflection in a lake, Adanae encourages birds forth, and holds court with them instead of other members of the Starbard group.

So far she has discouraged friends, but she adores her children. Unfortunately, she plays favourites amongst her offspring, and Heliomellicus and Helenae have a particularly bitter relationship because of it.
