______ Shotaro was born in Miyagi and is a new member of the Ao High School boys' rhythmic gymnastics team. He is currently in his first year of high school.

In the summer of his third year of junior high school, Shotaro happened to see a performance by the Ao High boys' rhythmic gymnastics team, and was fascinated by rhythmic gymnastics. He entered Ao High School and jumped into the world of rhythmic gymnastics, and despite being an amateur, he grew rapidly thanks to his earnest personality and athletic background.

Shotaro is an often shy individual who becomes easily flustered when he makes mistakes or when he is teased. He is shown to be someone who follows the urges of others instead of putting much thought and effort into his own ambitions. This trait of his changed when he witnessed his now current seniors' performance in the rhythmic gymnastics competition held a year prior to him joining Ao High School.

He is earnest in his training and a fast learner. He always works tirelessly to properly execute what he is taught and is often able to mimic movements when shown to him. 		______
