Kelvar never knew what her original charge was. She felt the pull of The Search once she became old enough for the urge to surface, but in the very beginning of her journey, it was suddenly replaced by a wave of crushing loss and inexplicable grief. Whatever her charge was, it had met its brutal end before she could seek it, let alone find it.

She spent years trying to ignore the fact that she was chargeless. She was ridiculed, cast out as a failure, but was too stubborn to give up. If she'd never had the chance to find her charge, she would make one. She took on countless positions protecting others, but still it felt superficial, unable to fill the void left by her lack of a charge.

On a travel between clans after being rejected yet again, she encountered a strange magic that caused an odd buzz throughout her body, from her snout to the tip of her tail. An almost unfamiliar urge swelled inside her, but she recognized the pull of The Search within moments. How had it been rekindled, why was it back? Had the fates given her a new charge? She couldn't resist, both the urge and curiosity too strong; besides, she had nothing to stay for.

After a long journey, her instincts pointed her here, and intrinsically she knew what she was looking for was here. She crossed paths with Serkhan soon after her arrival, and almost instantly she knew it was him. She became almost overprotective of him, hovering over him and rarely ever letting him out of her sight, though he doesn't seem to mind. The more she's with him, the more she becomes attached on an emotional level as well, forming a unique sort of bond between the two.
