Aftermath has always had a great understanding of magic, maybe due to being born in arcane. Though his motivations to increase his abilities were never for any applied use, just to deepen his knowledge. Spends most of his time somewhere inside the depths of Danesh's library, buried in a pile of books.

While he is often described as Nijiro's "alchemist in training," he hardly ever stays for a full lesson. He'd much rather sneak off and read and write. He usually works as more of a, "scribe in training."
The nerdiest of all Mirrors, Aftermath enjoys knowledge more than the thrill of the hunt. Also being one of the only Mirrors who can read and write fluently, Kyokai does honestly treasure him. Often, Aftermath can be found hiding with a scroll, or observing a creature unknown to him. In these instances, he's easily startled, much like any other instance.
