January 5th, 2022 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Hello mum and dad! Phew, it's been a while, hasn't it? I miss you two so much! Apologies if some parts of the letter is burnt, that was probably Obsidian, our maildragon, or lava bled through my lava proof desk. Anyways I hope this letter finds you in good plagueiness health! Although I'll always miss the smell of home and the wonderful boiling pits, the fire pits are a sustainable substitute, I suppose. Regardless, I love it here in the wind clan, they're all so nice! We just moved to the Fire Flight for breeding purposes, so that's cool. While I'm away, I made new friends, picked up wizardry, and now have a part time job! I'll start off with my new job. Lapis Lazuli is our clan librarian. He's nice, I like him. He lets me study in my own special room in the library, and I help around! He gets annoyed whenever I borrow even more books, though. He told me I had to return some of my books or else he'll fire me. Stinkers... I've been using my library room to study wizardry! I really like it, it's super fun. We don't have much books on magic, however, so Lapis Lazuli is ordering some books for me and my friends. Oh! Speaking of my friends, they're a spiral named Truth and a Nocturne named Mae. Truth's super scary, but she's real sweet if you manage to warm up to her. Mae's the nicer out of the two, very bubbly and welcoming! We like to call ourselves "the Devil's sorceresses". Rest assured, we do not work for the devil. At least not me and Mae. I'm a wizard and Mae's an enchantress. Not sure about Truth. She claims she doesn't chat with demons, but I don't believe her. Right now, we're trying to enchant a rock to float for our first group spell. It's taking a lot of hard work, but we're getting there! Truth's great-aunt, Scorch, is a fellow sorceress, and she's teaching us the basics! We have weekly lessons with her, she's super cool! Since she's in a fire clan, she can visit us super easily. Wow, time flies when you're having fun. Drat, now I'm running out of room. Who knew the paper here was so pitifully short? Until next time! - Mila |
