The Crimson Lady

A long-standing member of the Refuge, Rubidium had lead a rather quite life alongside her mate, Cobalt. Despite their close ties, they only made room for two offspring, keeping their lives rather simple. They loved, they shared, but loss came shortly after...

Cobalt's protective standing came to interfere as the Refuge struggled to survive. With Rubidium and the twins in mind, Cobalt sought himself out to serve on the front lines in short notice. Though Rubidium saw her family to remain together, the twins had a different idea, and followed their father's footsteps. Without a message to tell, Rubidium was left in desolation of the peace she once had, so much, that she went into isolation. It took the force of the leader and Pyrite to coax her back into living beyond, and gave her an incentive: Fight for the Plaguebringer's blessing, the blessing that maybe, one day, her family will return home.

Rubidium took the concept head on, becoming one of Pyrite's most loyal companions, and one of the tutors in training dragons to fight. Her peaceful nature had dimmed, becoming more short and cold to the touch, but she still values her trainees with the same hardness as she did for her family.

Now, under the eyes of the Stormcatcher, her focus has eased, her old scars of pain healed over, and now she has a new motive: Be a protector to all others that reside. While Pyrite's style is swift and sure to cut, Rubidium has come to embrace a more brutal means of dealing with enemies. While she keeps that side in check, she is already naturally intimidating.

Over time, her and Pyrite have come to take each other more seriously, proving not just companions, not just battle mates, but lovers that share common passions and ideas.
