Attis

Attis is one of the rare cases of a guardian with a non-tangible charge: his ideals. Despite being often mocked for it, Attis is sure this is what his charge is. After all, items hold no value to him; they can always be replaced or lost, he is constantly wandering and never stays in one place for long, and he hates the company of most other dragons. His beliefs, however, he is willing to defend until the day he dies.

Attis is anti-deity and hates how dragonkind has been forced into following them, as opposed to getting to choose their own leaders. Why is it fair that simply because of the location of his birth he must hail to a leader who represents virtues he doesn't agree with? Why are they allowed to have so much power that their subjects have no say in? If they can't be replaced, at the very least their power should be restricted and the people should have a say in how its used. Isn't that reasonable?

Early on in his Search, Attis thought he may have found his charge. A ridgeback who seemed to understand science and magic better than any dragon he had ever met before. Tesla was the same age as him and had left home in hopes of finding a job in order to collect funds for his future business. As Tesla had nowhere to go and was somewhat lost, the two travelled together. Attis soon began to develop romantic feelings for his companion and believed this to finally be his charge. However, before he could confess, the two fell out. Tesla disapproved of Attis' extremist beliefs and wanted to focus on building his business as opposed to wandering around with no goal. The two parted ways. He wants to hate Tesla, but really just misses him. He still hopes that eventually they’ll meet again, and after converting Tesla to his beliefs, they’ll rekindle their friendship. And maybe… just maybe… become more than friends. Attis is somewhat scared of him, though, as his feelings for him are the closest thing that has ever come to rivalling his charge.

As part of defending his charge, Attis will do anything to convert others to his way of thinking. And if that doesn't work, well... During his upbringing in the Ashfall Waste, Attis was apprenticed in pyrotechnics. Tesla would often show Attis his weapon designs, explaining the mechanics and how to make them. Attis isn't one to carry around Alchemist's Tools, electrical bombs, and flammable oil for nothing.

It is often that shrines to the deities and clans who are particularly devout are left as ashes and charred ground, with no sign of the arsonist who destroyed them.

He also has a smaller than average beard, and is rather self-conscious of this fact.
