Persephone is the first of her mother's children to inherit her dark colors. While she is not an exact clone, she is near enough, and is the most devoted to the Shade among all her siblings. She was born during a dire moment, during the cease-fire between two warring factions within the clan so they could both turn against Inlé and her followers. They were driven from the grove and into the surrounding dark with Persephone and her nest siblings newborn and held precariously in their sire's claws. Growing up away from the influence of dragons aligned to the deities, with only devotees of the Shade to guide her, she is perhaps the most pure darkness seen in the world in an age. Her power draws directly from the force of darkness around her, and she is strongest within this realm, where night is eternal. While none outside of her parents and their close confidants know of her existence, her name is whispered in fear by those who know, for it is said to draw her attention. And all know that one day she will rule at her mother's right hand.
