Petra

Petra is a professional excavator who has unearthed many treasures for the clan during his time within its ranks. He's struck a lucrative deal with the clan leaders wherein he helps dig up and prepare land for the preparation of expanding the clan's territories, and he gets to keep any precious gems or metals that are dug up during this process in exchange. Some less materialistic dragons think him greedy and opportunistic, but Petra would just describe himself as savvy.

Like many Earth dragons, he has a fascination with death and burial sites. His fascination troubles many dragons, however, as he has the tendency to use the bones and skulls of the dead things he digs up as body decoration. Eshu, the clan's storyteller and fellow Earth flight dragon, has a distrust and distaste for Petra for this very reason.

He has a close working relationship with Cleopatra, the architect, as he's always the one to dig up the foundation for her new building projects.

He's not wholly unaffected by the negative things other dragons say about him. Privately, he takes Eshu's stories of undead skeletons and ghostly apparitions quite seriously, and suffers from frequent nightmares about his own bone apparel coming to life and strangling him as he sleeps. He tries to ignore these subconscious fears, and against his own better judgement, he continues to disrespect the dead on a daily basis both for fashion and for his own pride.
