Biography

From whence shadows part
She who only knew of the arcanist domain, despite all who found the shadows that crept around her like a spindle of webs gifted by Arachne herself to be proof of undeniable scrutiny against this lady's truth. To who would believe the young dragon bringing such devouring darkness in her being---yet Lady Arcania welcomed her with open wings, calling her daughter with fondness as though she were of blood and womb. She who weaved shadows for her patron Arachne was welcomed into the halls of the palace as brood. Princess was not an endearment or honor she ever thought she would gain in this life or the next. Maybe hatching miles from the clan she was from wasn't such a bad thing.

The burdens of Priestesses
When the offer from her gracious mother Nimue was presented to her to watch over the Chalcedony Arcanist and subsequently ward off off any threats to the object of the kingdom's devotion to their primordial god, she was beside herself in pride and humility. She'd longed to do her mother proud, and guarding such a precious heirloom would no doubt do it. This was a task that she would be prepared to die for, and no matter what happens she would never waver.

Of darkness and magic

Although bound to happen to one who wasn't of Arcane heritage, over time the chalcedony that made up the body of the statue irradiated this young shadow dragon. An odd affliction crossed her inborne element, and now it struggles back against the arcane radiation that creeps throughout her shadowy spools. If the exposure continues, untold dangers await this dragon's health. Protests for her replacement persist even into the abyss of night. Be as it may, neither she nor her mother wishes to remove her from this duty. Whether the Arcanist's statue withers her away or not is up to the Arcanist himself, and Nyx will honor her sacrifice in protecting him as a devotion of love to this deity.

There are unfortunate rumors that the young priestess is showing symptoms of chalcedony growing around where she steps, and even the buds of glowing sprouts. Could it be far too late to save her from this fate?
