Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there,
wondering, fearing, doubting,

Asra is a special kind of a dragon. She is a shadow colored nocturne with no biological parents to be found, and born under the Shadowbinder's watch to boot. She is a dragon born of the Shadowbinder's own magic, deeply attuned to the Tangled Wood and the magic that saturates it. Asra reflects her element more than most. She drips black goop everywhere, has multiple eyes and limbs, and tends to terrify others.

No one trusts a Shadow dragon, but Asra doesn't always look like a shadow dragon She is a shifter, a creature that can twist its form, voice, and coloration however it wishes. She cannot change shape drastically, but she can add/subtract some limbs/eyes if she wants to. While it's easy to break her out of her fake form (a firm hit or a decent ward will work), such a skill is very, very useful. Asra makes good use of the gift, acting as anything from a spy to bait.
