Biography
The Researcher
Loyal | Knowing | Intelligent
The Southern Icefield was never quite the place for Runic. While the cold of her original home brought comfort, she felt like she had no connection to the land or the deity - constantly craving knowledge, craving to know everything others didn't. She was a young adult when she left home, deciding that she'd had enough, and she would brave the other deities lands to learn more and more and more.
She flew north to Starfall Isles and stayed for months, going through libraries and libraries of books, then she flew to the Shifting Expanse to learn of their technology. She planned on going to the Sunbeam Ruins to follow, but was met with a horrible beast who chased her down. She knew him as Luminax, the first Emperor, though through all her reading, she didn't believe he was real, and it was only when she saw him first hand that everything she'd read came racing to mind.
She bolted, over the Sea of a Thousand Currents, hiding in a cliffside ravine. And then she looked up and saw nests, and looked inside and saw dragons peering at her curiously. She tried to scurry out, but was met with a large, imposing Imperial, with a curious looking Skydancer behind her.
Still terrified from her encounter with Luminax, she begged not to be killed, and the Imperial... laughed? The Imperial said that she just wanted to make sure she meant no harm to her clan, and let her go. Runic scrambled out, but when she left caught the eye of the curious Skydancer.
Following that encounter, Runic kept coming back to the ravine and meeting with the Skydancer - who called himself Rozel. She would tell him about her adventures and the knowledge she acquired, and he would tell her about his latest alchemic concoction - often ones that were created after being inspired by her stories.
Eventually, Runic decided to stay by his size and officially join the clan, and although she's still a little intimidated by Morana, she knows that she'll always be safe under her watch.
