Biography

The Jolly keeper | he/him

One of the most, if not the most, enigmatic dweller of the Sanctuary, Cadavre is described as a rather easily approachable dragon by those who managed to overcome the sense of uneasiness that his presence inevitably brings.

With an easy going and highly empathic personality, that perfectly suits his naturally meak temperament, Cadavre is a soft spoken dragon who enjoys small talks and drinking hot teas under the shade of willow trees. He has a particular talent for catching dragonflies, which he collects the wings of and won't hesitate to show it if asked.

Despite his good nature, Cadavre is still regarded with a certain apprehension whenever he happens to appear.
Surely it is no fault of his, but what's he's called upon doing instead.

For him death is simply his way of life, being surrounded by the silent world of the deceased since his earliest infancy.
Among the tombstone and restful sleepers, Cadavre dwells and roams, tending to every single need of those who have long passed.
He finds comfort in that, knowing that not a single one is left to be forgotten as long as he commits to his duty.
He listens but never judges. He knows, but doesn't say.

It is a lonely task sometimes sure, but Cadavre has accepted that role many years ago, like his father before him and his father's father and so on, and simply learned that dragons are rarely happy to see him.
While he used to look longingly at those outside of his world, it has stopped bothering him by now and has learned to enjoy the little sprouts of interaction he gets whenever they come, making the best out of it.

He pities them instead, for they fear what they fail to understand.

By time he even forgot his name, simply taking on a new one as his body subtly morphed to a manner similar to those he works with.

A Cadaver he is, and he really doesn't mind.
