When magic pools, occasionally it can gather and create powerful creatures. As one once said, for every action comes an equal opposite reaction. So where there is more magic, there is also less somewhere else as a result. This is very clearly shown in the case of two twins, Snít and Noční.
Due to a magic imbalance, the two hatchlings were hatched differently. One containing too much magic, and the other barely any at all. This lead to disputes, destruction, and overall chaos.
Through it all the twins just wished that they could live as normal hatchlings, and so one day, they ran away to escape together.
The twins travelled for quite a ways before they came upon a settlement carved into the face of the arcane cliffs known as "Lesser Layer."
They decided to take a moment to rest, and quickly became accustomed to the other dragons there, surprised to see that they too had unusual traits.
As they didn't have any better place to go to, the twins decided to make a home in Lesser Layer.
Through the years they've learned to accept themselves for being different, and harness their uniqueness for the better.
In current present day, the twins run a small shop that sells both powerful potions and handy trinkets that they create themselves using their abilities.
