Amadeus

Amadeus is a scholar, a teacher, and a mentor to young dragons learning to master their magic.

Some dragons consider him oblivious. He is really, partly because he's so absorbed in his students and his work, and wildly devoted to his beloved mate Ruby.
Nobody, however, can dispute the fact that he's wildly kind and intelligent, and it seems he knows at least a little bit about everything if you take the time to ask him.

He loves his work as a scholar and researcher, and spends fair amount of his time in his study, reading or writing about new findings.
However, he's really a big kid on the inside. He's extremely curious, and has an extremely fun loving, playful personality. The hatchlings adore him, and he often plays with them and holds classes for the slightly older ones when he wants a break from his grown up work. The more adolescent females of the clan have been known to get crushes on him, (he never notices,) and thankfully, his life mate, Ruby, finds the adolescent crushes on her mate more humorous than anything else.

Ruby and Amadeus has only ever been mated to each other, and work beautifully as a pair. They both adore their respective positions in the clan, and hold their responsibilities in those positions to be of utmost importance. They respect each other highly in this regard.
Ruby's wildly cynical fiery nature combined with Amadeus's very trusting nurturing one helps create a near perfect balance. Though Ruby may seem reluctant to show it in public at times, they both love each other deeply, and would not change a thing about the other.
