Sin of Guilt
The mass of blood fell to the ground and seeped out of the guardian's chest. It glorped and splurged with a life of its own, slowly moving away from the husk that was once Imperatrix. As it clawed its way out of the husk, the mass began to take form. Tendrils sprouted from the red liquid, coagulating as they shaped into various body parts. From the coagulated blood grew dagger like protrusions across it's sanguine hide. The protrusions gave the impression of a scaley chain-mail, save for the protrusions on the back side, which lengthened and curled into a soft blue mane. The thing had taken on a most draconic form, and yet there was something alien to its demeanor. The blood-born drake attempted to stand on its newly found feet, wobbling clumsily as if it were a hatchling. Eventually it was able to find its footing, and as it straightened its body, it lifted its head back and took in it's first breath. Fretz stared in horror at the dragon born before his very eyes. It too stared back at him, but within its gaze held a great sorrow.
