Shani

Shani’s life has been plagued by more than her fair share of sorrows. Her first love was a white Wildclaw from Shadow by the name of SnowfallWell. He had four different mates before her but that didn’t matter to Shani. She was young and in love and the only thing that mattered was being with him. Eventually, they laid a nest of three together. Shortly after their children were hatched though, they and their father were called to serve the Earthshaker. Shani was crushed. The love of her life was gone and she didn’t even have the comfort of her children to remember him by.

Then after a time, Shani met a stone colored Snapper from Earth by the name of Reinkemeyer. His similar background helped her feel comfortable in a way that she hadn’t since SnowfallWell. They spent many nights together walking through Dragonhome and talking about their lives. Before she knew it, she had laid another nest. This time there were two eggs and from them hatched two beautiful girls. She was happier than she ever remembered being before. All things must change though and her daughters left her to pursue their own lives. Shani and Reinkemeyer decided to start a new adventure themselves and moved to the Viridian Labyrinth. Before they could find a clan to settle down, Reinkemeyer was called to serve the Gladekeeper. It broke his heart to leave his mate but he had to serve the gods.

Shani was again left alone and fell into a deep depression. The only thing she had ever wanted was a family of her own but it had been taken from her twice already. She wandered aimlessly in the dense jungle, not caring anymore if she lived or died. Luckily a snapper named Kostyuk from Cysegr Clan found her on his way to pick up two new arrivals to the Clan.

He brought her back and the Clan did the best they could to cheer her up and help her move on but nothing worked. Time passed and Shani did come out of her shell some and became an active member of the Clan. Her job was to care for the hatchlings until they were grown but she still felt unfulfilled. She wanted more hatchlings of her own but she had sworn to herself that she would never love again. And she kept that vow for months. That is until a young male Pearlcatcher named Soil showed up. There was something about him that made her feel as if she had finally found the one she was meant to be with all along. The ups and downs she had faced before had all just been leading up to him and this Clan. Here she could have the family she always wanted and could finally live in peace. Together they learned how to work stones and metals and she became the Jeweler to the clan
