These dragons are created spontaneously during moments of beauty. They come into being with the awareness that moments are fleeting but that elements of the joy in those moments can be preserved. Capturing the byplay of light and shadow and color is the pursuit and passion of these creative dreamers, and they are rarely found without a camera or paintbrush or instrument in hand. They explore and have adventures as easily as breathing, and you can often find them just sitting in nature, taking it all in. No two days of an Impressionist dragon are the same!

Impressionism as a movement of art got its name when a young French artist by the name of Claude Monet sat down and painted a local harbor. He meant to capture the immediacy of the scene and didn't feel it had enough details to be named after the harbor itself, so instead he called it, "Impression - Soleil Levant," or "Impression - Sunrise." And the name stuck!
