Backstory
“Lazarus is peculiar one. His sister Bethany was a prodigy in their hometown back somewhere in the Renaissance period. While Bethany spent her time learning the ways of pyromancy, Lazarus was left to his own accord. He was only known as “brother of Bethany”, making him resent her more than he already did. After an argument Bethany cursed Lazarus with immortality and they where both condemned to the basement. His immortality is connected to his secondary item, Lazarus’ rags. He is rude to everyone in the basement, insulting them and belittling them at any chance he could take, just to feel better about himself. However, after witnessing the verbal abuse Samson was facing from his sister, he decided the boy who he had only seen once. Only this time, disheveled was to much to light of a word, horrible. A connection was made and they became fast friends. They are practically inseparable and have stuck together through the toughest of times. However, after Lazarus found out about his Twinflame bond with Samson, Lazarus began to treat Samson like everyone else because he was afraid of following in his sister’s ‘footsteps’ of destiny. This changed while during Cain’s rule. There was an attempted assassination against Samson. Leaving Lazarus to rush him to eden. Yet, eden was forced to refuse because Cain’s law disallowed the healing of those outside of Cain’s court and Cain himself. So there leaves Lazarus and the now corpse of his closest friend. He rushes to eve and begs her to takedown Cain now. But she refuses on it being “expectable”. But in that time until they go Lazarus finds out who it was who killed Samson. Bethany. Once they infiltrate Cain’s base. Lazarus quickly finds Bethany and manages to pin her down, brutally stabbing her 50 times. This obviously causing an even bigger rift in their relationship. After Samson was revived as his corpse had not been destroyed, Lazarus swore on his life to never treat him like that ever again and gave Samson a roll of his item, to prevent this horrid death from happening again. “
"Lazarus seems to strive to make others hate him. From at least what I've seen, he has no other motivations than to make people despise his very existence. He goes out of his way to make sure that no one has any positive feelings by blaming things on himself over and over and twisting things to make himself the villain. but i guess when that doesn't work he decides to do something himself to make people hate him. i remember when he stole the void from Apollyon and used it to steal everyone's items. or how he constantly goes out of his way to judge and insult others. but, theres something inside him that wants to feel loved, and he seems to push it down with all his force. i'm not saying he's in the right at all, he's an unarguably irritating and inconveniencing person. but beneath that i think there's a bit of him that wants to be cared for. i suppose that's why he sticks around Samson so much eh? he seems to be the only one down here who doesn't want Lazarus dead. infact, he seems to care about him, as odd as it is, im glad there is someone who can see the touch starved kid hidden deep under his sour personality as well."
