Caide came from a Clan that was wiped out by Pulse in one of his many blood fueled rages prior to his change of heart. As such, he first met his adoptive Clan by attacking them for allowing Pulse to be within their ranks.

Despite his strength and natural defenses, he fell to the combined might of the Clan. His pride wounded, he managed to flee before any of the Clan could get to him to land a finishing blow. Nursing his wounds in an isolated and safe place, he decided to make a plan to get at Pulse and leave the Clan alone. At least until he'd find his own Clan and then come back to wipe them out.

Knowing that Pulse had his rages and would be alone at that time, he spied on the Clan's doings until that event happened. He carefully followed Pulse and waited for him to tire out from his rage.

When that moment arrived, he appeared before Pulse. Oh how he wished he could kill just by looking! However, Pulse started to speak and Caide, for some reason, felt the need to hear him out before killing him. He explained to Caide about himself and understood if Caide wanted to destroy him for what he did. He doesn't blame anyone for coming after him and considered what he did to be unforgivable, despite his desire to put his blood lust to good use and try to redeem himself.

Hearing the honesty in Pulse's voice, Caide was stunned and didn't know what to do. After about a minute, he suddenly panicked and took off to anywhere but there. While flying, he thought over about what Pulse had told him and had to figure out whether Pulse could truly be held accountable for his actions, or if extenuating circumstances came into play.

When he landed on a rock, he came to his conclusion to his dilemma. Caide went on a hunting and gathering spree before coming to the entrance of the Clan lair. There he called to the Main 3 and offered what he brought as an apology for his prior actions towards them. Once they accepted (with Yarekma having to be convinced to give Caide a chance), he made his way into the lair and found his area.

From there, he decided he could keep an eye on Pulse for further observation. If he indeed decided to go back to how he was before, then Caide would kill him. Being that he valued justice as well as mercy, and with a strong need to protect, he joined under Joseff to train as one of the clan defenders.

Fairly talkative, he is great at making new friends with his kind personality. He is rarely quick to anger; only doing so if the deed was of great significance to be considered unforgivable. He still has a bit of an issue with assuming guilt by association, which is something Joseff wishes for him to work on. He is honest and values integrity highly.

His mate is Jet, as she was impressed by his fair nature and he was impressed by her eccentric nature. During the Earthshaker's Ceremony, both he and his mate Jet received markings. Caide's markings are for strength.
