| _____As time passed Achernar and Sierrie started to feel the friction of betrothal constraints. They were still young, restless, and entirely unprepared to really settle down with their impetuous mate. Bickering turned to fights, which turned to hissing, yowling matches at night in their lair, and it culminated in Achernar storming out-- though Sierrie will say she threw him out-- of the tent one night. After that, the pair had broken up. That was it. They each had more pride than longing. These days, Achernar ambles his party-boy self around town with inflated ego and silvered tongue while Sierrie backbites him whenever she gets the chance. |
