Biography
Plato
Lovestruck Poet An artistic soul, the imperial Plato was a travelling mage who had intended to make his way up to the focal point, however along the way he had to pass through the Starwood strand, and became immediately besotted with Kisra, claiming her hide was as colorful as the sea and just as beautiful (in his mind, the highest of compliments) and declaring at once that she was the perfect muse, one to bring the words to parchment unlike any other. |
Focal point forgotten, he followed her back to her clan, and having heard that she lived nearby, brought with him the nearby river where they met and changed its course to run closer to the clan in an attempt to convince her of his intentions. The lovely obelisk, although happy with his grand gesture, as it indeed improved daily life in the clan and gave her a nearer source of water for her dyework, refrained from accepting his courtship immediately, the two dancing around eachother in a shy manner. The great imperial resorted to his other talent, now that his impressive magic had failed him, and took to writing copious amounts of poetry for and about the beautiful lady.
Although his arrival, and the fact that he brought a whole river off course to service their clan, and Kisra, caused some alarm and surprise, the matriarch Aragona was simply happy to have a readily available supply of water without having to trek through thick forest, and quickly declared Plato's welcome in the clan. When not busying himself with wooing Kisra, Plato often helps with the upkeep, singlehandedly able to provide whatever fish the clan may need, and forming strong bonds with his new clanmembers. The passionate and honest imperial quickly won many over, and his soulful attitude makes him very hard to dislike, especially since it's plain for all to see how thoroughly smitten he is with Kisra, and the affection she harbors for him as well. His exuberance once Kisra finally accepted and returned his affections was contagious, and nearly the entire clan celebrated their newest love match alongside the arrival of the charismatic Malachite. His dynamic with Kisra didn't change much, the trust and friendship they had built only became the base of something bigger.
As he is most used to navigating strong currents and the necessity of being streamlined, Plato favors minimal dress, adorning himself with silks and carrying with him a well-bound book, waterproof of course, in which he writes all his poetry. His subject matter consists, of course, primarily of his love Kisra, but he also favors water as a medium, and his talent is easily discernable when reading his work. Being a good judge of character, Charybdis immediately sought him out, having sensed a kindred spirit the imperial was happy to humor her, constantly playing games with and making her laugh with clever anecdotes and ocean-themed poetry, only adding onto his likeability. He loves swimming almost as much as he loves Kisra, and can spend hours drifting around, long form making colorful shapes in the water as it moves to his will.
