Those Light drakes don't understand, do they? Isn't it always so bright? So time-consuming to constantly keep searching for answers? They wish to find the truth, but what if there is none? There's no point, and you'd never truly figure that out, will you? Phano despises them, thinking what they do is pointless. Why take so much meaningless time to find the truth? Everyone knows someone is always lying, and you'll never be able to find out who until it's too late. He had dedicated himself to learn the shaded life of the Shadow flight, practically cringing in his head whenever someone brings up his birth flight. So much better. The history is in the past; that's why they call it that, isn't it? There's no point to find it all over again; it'll just become lost, lost like it already was.
For a reason.

Born in the warm, bright climates of the Light region, the dark Nocturne had lived with a fully Light flight clan for his youthful years, his naturally mimicked traits a delight to those around him. Among them, a Coatl, who had spoken to the clan about their trip back to the Hearth in the Fire region for a while before returning after mating season. Being the imitating drake he is, he had informed his clanmates that he was to leave as well, going on a trip back to his breed's native region as well. After packing just as lightly as the Coatl, the two had set off, their clan awaiting their return in the next few months. Phano had never seen the place before, always imagining what it ever looked like. Seeing it for the first time, his instincts kicked him, demanding him to return to his clanmates in the illuminated safety of the Light flight, far from the cryptic landscape. Yet, the farther he looked in, the more curious he became. What was to be in there? Wasn't his flight about learning the truth? It was nagging at him, eating away at his fear until enough was gone to force himself inside. He returned. . .different. The normally chipper Nocturne had came back with dark clothing, a personality change, and knowledge. . .Knowledge he prefered to keep to himself. He had been there no more than a minute when he told them he was to leave again, this time never returning. His travel to the Shadow region had taught him many things, and, being the natural Light drake he is, unfortunately, desired to know more. Resting one more night with his family clan before leaving, the others had been frightened by this sudden change in him, and secretly cast a creature of opposition to his side, keeping an eye on him. They understand how intelligent he is; who knows what he could do with the information he hoards to himself? |

They know of me. They don't trust me. They look as wary as my old clanmates did. They stay away from me, and try to keep a few distanced specifically. Means nothing to me. There are a couple of drakes in this group I wish to speak to, and the menial efforts the others put into keeping them away are useless. Just speak to that Fae, Psyna. I'm sure she'd love to tell the others about me.
